Attendance Calculator
Calculate your attendance percentage and classes needed for a target.
📐 Must Attend = Target% × (Held + Remaining) − Already Attended, clamped to available remaining classes.
Attendance is mandatory in most Indian colleges and universities — the UGC and AICTE guidelines require minimum 75% attendance to appear in semester exams, and many institutions enforce 80% or 85%. Missing too many classes can result in exam debarment, making your study efforts irrelevant. This calculator tells you exactly how many classes you can still miss, how many you must attend consecutively, and whether catching up is still possible.
📋 How to Use This Calculator
Enter total classes held so far, classes you attended, and total remaining classes in the semester. The calculator shows your current attendance percentage, whether you meet the minimum requirement, how many more classes you can miss while maintaining the minimum, and how many consecutive classes you must attend without missing any to reach the minimum if you are currently below it.
💡 Key Facts & Information
UGC guidelines: minimum 75% attendance for theory and practical separately. AICTE: same 75% for engineering. Medical colleges (MCI): 75% for theory, 80% for practicals. Many private universities enforce 85%. Attendance calculation: Attendance% = (Classes Attended / Total Classes Held) × 100. Attendance with leave: some institutions count medical leave as present, others do not — check your college rules. Medical leave: a medical certificate from a registered doctor exempts the absence in some institutions but not others. If you are at exactly 75%, you cannot miss any more classes until new classes are added to the denominator.
